Day 33 of the Government shutdown: Ever thought about turning your hobby into a business?

Are you living paycheck-to-paycheck? Many people are, according to the news reports, and it seems nobody cares. I heard one politician say today, “tell those workers to hold on or go borrow from their home equity lines?” Was he kidding? What world is he living in that he can’t even imagine that many people are just a few checks away from depleting their savings? I can imagine that you’re like most of us who want stability, and a good paying job to maintain our lifestyles, and take care of our families consistently. So, my question to you is: what do you do if this furlough goes on for another 4 months?

What do you do in times like this if you are one of the many federal workers that are going without another paycheck? It’s not easy to tackle this idea of turning your hobby into a business, at least for a short while until the politicians end the furlough. However, it just may be time to think about the idea of turning your hobby into a business. If you don’t have a hobby, it just may be the time to assess your skills, learn something different, or perhaps, change careers!

For any federal workers, or people on the edge, worrying about “what if” we’re offering our checklist of things to consider before turning your hobby into a business. Don’t worry about paying, it’s no charge to anyone that is considering their options.
